In other games you actually have to search the corpses.

And the dhamels (sp?) to spit in a cup for us before they croak... I love the descriptions where the item, cut off the monsters body presumably, continues to twitch, like an imp's wing...

As a long time player of a rogue, who is "Always" behind the mob...I really try not to think about where I am pickpocketing items on mobs that are not wearing pants... :oops:
