My mother passed away and I am looking for a way to show how much she means to me and I was looking for ideas.
I can't think of anything because I just feel so empty.

Firstly, *hug* 
As for ideas, do you have video of her? Maybe a montage set to her favorite song (or a song that reminds you of her) of still and moving images of your mother.
Or, you could have her friends, co-workers, other family members put a fund together and donate some sizeable to sum to your mothers favorite charity in her name.

First off, take some time to grieve. You need to do that first and foremost. After that look for a way to honor her. Make an album of pictures, collect videos, maybe have people write down stories about her and write your own.
Also, keep a journal. One lady I know writes her parents letters and keeps them, kind of like a journal.

Little things can help a lot. Plant her favorite flower some place she liked.
If she ever took walks with you travel the same paths and think on what she said.
If you cooked together, make something she showed you how to cook.
The same for any other often shared fun activity. If she showed you how to fix cars, you don't have to break something, a simple tune up will sufice. You can probably skip laundry no mater how often you did that together.
