Anyways was in my first Corsair party yesterday and huzzah another Corsair was in it too, 3 Corsair rolls for us (lv12) although the party had problems was still quite fun but that's besides the point.
So start of a fight both myself and the other Corsair do Phandom Roll, we both roll 6. Then we both Double Up and low and behold both roll 6 again
great start to the figth with 2 busts but what are the odds?! Well I'll tell you and anyone with minimal understanding in probability can work it out chance to roll a 6 is 1/6
chance to roll two 6s (Bust) is 1/6 x 1/6 = 1/36
chance to roll two Busts in a row is 1/36 x 1/36 = 1/1296 talk about unlucky
Can also view it as rolling four 6s in a row which would be (1/6)^4 which is obviously the same answer 1/1296
but anyway if you got them off that would of gave you alot of extra exp and even better if you had the exp ring on
