Naruto....that mysterious series that seems to plague everything anime-related these days. Personally I hadn't even heard of that series before Finncon/Animecon 2004 in Jyväskylä, Finland. After that: I felt like strangling the next person who even says the N-word near me.

Well, I got over that eventually and decided that I shouldn't judge a potentially good animeseries just because most of it's fans seem to be complete retards (as in 'Narutards': http://naruto.hentailord.net/narutard.png).

True, it had a funny beginning and somewhat interesting characters at start, although I must admit I was very disappointed in the fact that the main characters were children and the overall feeling wasn't anything I expected. Well, humor was good. Soon though, I grew tired of it and especially the fightscenes that go on and on for several episodes. Now I know that other series, extremely popular 'Rurouni Kenshin' for example has that too but the pacing and storytelling is completely different and most importantly more mature in my opinion.

Yes Naruto has it's ups and downs (more downs then ups) but the games are meant to be pretty awesome nonetheless. Even thought it's directed by the guy that did DBZ I still think Bleach draws more parallels to DBZ than Naruto does, obviously none are nearly as bad as DBZ and both are quite addictive for probably the wrong reasons
