Japaneese for the whm

Post by Blackroses »

Hey if your ever dead and there are nothing but japaneese players around use this sentence.

"Sumimasen. Boku wa shinda. Reizu onegaishimasu. Koko wa <pos>"

Translation: "Sorry to bother you. I'm dead. Could you raise me? I'm at..."

Ive used it and got some wonderful responses. Enjoy.

yea........I think for mithras using "boku wa" is also possible.

boku wa = i am (for males, but sometimes also for a naughty or tomboyish females)

watashi wa = i am (all gender)

Thanks a lot for posting, this will come in handy! ^w^

I thought:
Boku == Informal 'I' used by males only.
Watashi == Standard form of 'I' used by both genders.
Atashi == Female form of 'I' (not sure if formal or informal).

I thought "boku" was mainly used by kids, possibly is due to it being informal :)

You could just do the ol' {Raise}{Can I have it?}{Help me out!}{Please} :P

Yup, boku is informal and mainly used by males. (But like I said, females who are tomboyish can also use this. So, for mithras may be boku is possible.)

Japanese usually use watashi as it's the most convenient one.

But I didn't see atashi very often though.

I've seen "atashi" pop up quite a few times in anime thought I can't remember what kind of characters use it. ^^;

Hmm, mithra shouldn't be tomboyish :P I don't think they tend to mix up the gender specific words anyways, probably frowned upon and is thought of as very weird.

Edit: Watch that Phoenix Wright advert thingie again, I'm pretty sure Maya refers to herself using "atashi"

A... Atashi desu ka? <Me?>
