I think FFXI and FFIV have many things in common.

Well... I'm at the point where our heros are about to invade Baron and talk to the chief airship engineer Cid.
The Airships between FFXI and FFIV look almost the same. Except FFIV is used for warfare while FFXI is used for transportation... because they can't carry food, water, and all the ammunition.
Hmmm... Strange, isn't it?

I love the similarities myself. Other than the races, this is one of the first games to actually bring back the Dark Knight and Paladin classes. Other than the races, I love the whole setting really. Now if only we could get FFIV remade into 3D...I love my old school graphics, but I would LOVE to see FFIV in 3D...that would be absolutely beautiful if they did it right.

Not really. FFIV has it's moments in the 2-D world. There isn't a FF i would like to see remade... Well.... maybe a plastation collection rereleased containing FF6-9. That would be uber. Even if it would cost a good $100Kintrra wrote:I love the similarities myself. Other than the races, this is one of the first games to actually bring back the Dark Knight and Paladin classes. I am playing Final Fantasy I and II on my SP, and I recently talked to Cid, well I even found the chocobo forest and love the theme!!

Suddenly, I'm not too looking forward to the changes. The touch screen is... too gimmicky if you ask me. Anyone who's played the original FFIII knows that it kicked serious ass and still does for a game as old as it is. If SE is smart, the only changes they'll really make to the game will be cosmetic (redone sprites, proper translation perhaps...).Kailea wrote:yeah they are remakeing FF III for the DS ^.^ adding in a touch thing for something :p
the touch screen would be ideal for the battle and other sub-menus found in the game, considering how the menus are already practically set up in a logical manner for that. perhaps it would be used as a world map display as well...JediKitsune wrote:Suddenly, I'm not too looking forward to the changes.
