I would like to say I am surprised, but I am honestly not.
Historically Nintendo has been much like MS with the Good release, bad release schedule. The 3DS was a rare exception to their handheld line (those anyone not drooling over retarded 3d called this months before it launched), but their consoles have always honestly been mediocre at best hardware wise. Nintendo has made their success with extremely stellar first party software, not so much with hardware.
Considering what they want the WiiU to do I'm not surprised it's hard to program for. Think Nintendo got a little ahead of themselves with their gimmicky crap.
Its looking a bit grim, but I have some hope for them still.
They want to beat everyone to the punch line, but I think if they try that, it'll backfire. I don't intend on buying a Wii U at launch unless they intend on making a worthwhile line-up of games.
I got burned by the 3DS. (The Ambassador Program was a nice incentive, but I feel like someone told me to f*** myself since they're adding on a second joystick, and most likely intend on future updates to the 3DS will most likely include it.)
