Hey I'm thinking of coming back and was woundering is the 360 vanadeil collection worth geting?
I own it for the pc but my laptop can't run it to well, and I also have the ps2 version.

Was thinking of getting the 360 one cause my roomate is wanting to try it out so I figgured i'd grab a copy for him as it's only 20 bucks. Just dunno how much better it is then the rest.

It's processor holds up better then PS2. The Problem I had is the color is off from the PS2 copy and I had to tinker with it, and the resolution is the size of PC. I have it but my controller ceased working due to a faulty aftermarket Talismoon Tiltboard (Btw, it doesn't work with xi even if I turn it). DO NOT use the chatpad with FFXI. Pushing the green square button to access symbols turns the screen info off for screenshots. Use a normal USB Keyboard.

Many play on the 360 and like it.

Better graphics than the PS2, mostly limited by your TV.

I'm curious about your laptop specs, todays "graphic emulator chips" can run this game as can computers 10 years old.

in regards to my lsaptop it only gets ep in then benchmark.
it can run it just not all that well is all.

360 graphics are nice. Especially if you have a TV that can do 720p.

Beyond that, I defiantley like it better than the PS2. Less graphical lag, more onscreen characters, and smoother textures and the like.

so I have noticed that I can not find where ffxi has installed on my 360 nor am I able to play it with out the cd in like the pc and ps2 can... wth?

You get 2 slots to install. The Standard game takes a bulk of the hard drive. The quick launch requires an additional 5gigs. Why? I don't know. The PS2 HDD has 40gigs so it can launch w/o the disc. I have a 120gig HD on my 360 so I can quick launch without the disc.
