Seriously- my last few weeks of 2008 have been a tad stressful...

Ran into a snow bank and banged up my baby last week- $200 to tow + fix /sigh- started a new evening job part time that combined with home+ school has me hyped on caffeine, just this evening my brother wrecked my husband's truck and banged himself up pretty good in the process and tomorrow my husband is off to glorious Georgia for 4mths of BNCOC--

I'd really appreciate a relatively uneventful 2009!

It's 6PM here. We're at the tavern, Raven Tavern with my band, Wolfmoon Warriors. LIVE @ Raven Tavern. Wolfmoon Warrior's New Years Blowout! Featuring Maidens Clad In Iron & Slash Stick. At 10 to midnight we prep. 10 seconds to midnight, we'll be on a dark stage. At Midnight, the champaign air cannon's will spray the crowds with champaign and I'll begin the Enter Sandman chords.

Right now is prep. Slash Stick is on stage doing rehersals. Tavern opens in 2 hours. Concerts starts @ 9PM. All This in Central Stage. Happy New Year from Chicago's Indy Goth Metal Band Wolfmoon Warriors.

Wish I could tell you how the concert went, but right now my mind is fuzzy, I think Liquor was involved. I know I didn't drive home..... Something about Joan Jett And The Blackhearts Cover of "I hate myself for loving you." and I think we had a music critic snooping around backstage. I can't remember all the details.... I'm like really wasted right now. If I don't seem wasted from my typing, it's because for some reason, when I get hammered, It doesn't affect my typing ability..... just everything else :3 It also took me like 30 minutes to spell check this post......

Here's to 2009 with a hangover.

Its the morning of the 1st. There is 2' - 3' (.6 - .9 m)of snow on the ground in an area that gets a mere 18" (.5m)of rainfall a year. More is coming down. I didn't leave the house yesterday. I probably won't leave it again today.

Apparently we tore the house down :3 Checked the music section of a local paper with the quote in the article about local music

Wolfmoon Warriors put on a show at the Raven Tavern on New Year's Eve. Joined by two other local bands, Slash Stick and Maidens Clad In Iron, an Iron Maiden Tribute Band. Wolfmoon Warriors signed a record deal with Generation-X Records and is scheduled for release sometime in 2009. Their local metal sounds have been attracting fans from all over the area. Madison, Milwaukee, East Chicago.... For an independent band, their success is somewhat of a dream story and last night was no exception. From a cannon that sprays Korbel to their trademark eerie smoke machine. Pentagram Pendulum, their first album release in the works was the focus with amazing covers of other tracks such as Joan Jett, Cheap Trick, and Evanescence.

Last night many parties happened. Down at Navy Pier there was a great many hit bands, but if you ask me, the local groups are always the best. They've let slip that a second gig is coming for Valentine's Day. I was unable to receive any details from their band leader, one Nate Riley, but was told to keep watching the news stream. News stream? They don't even have a web site. Regardless, those who were not in attendance to last night's sold out show, you missed what could be considered the true definition of Chicago Music.

It goes on but this is the meaty section of the article. I just don't remember swapping a Joan Jett track in. And Korbel?! We're not that rich you moronic newspaper reporter. It was 1 dollar bottle of clearance crap we got at Binny's Beverage Depot! Yes a plug, I love them. Well I'm still disappointed we got smashed at the after show party ;3 but I think all went well.

February, Valentine's Day.... Wolfmoon Warrior's Bleeding Hearts Show. It's in the works, I'm working on the details right now.
