FFXI Festival is today!

They have a live blog up over at www.ffxiclopedia.org that'll go on during it.

Anyways, I'll post pictures of it tonight. Hopefully my camera will last that long xDDD

Bastards didn't talk about either. Though, this is what was there.

-Ballroom (Intro, [VG Cats] Scott Q&A, Dev Panel, Costume Contest, Ending awards and 6 song set from Kumi.)

-Atomos Server
---Moblin Maze: It was a 1 NM on party of 6. During the intro they showed it to us. Bobby was a PLD (Bad assedly equipped) for it, and put 3 plates into it.

Also, the plates just work as little tetris pieces that determine what kind of mob and the difficulty. When we did our best to fill the thing up, we got a light elemental that hit for 400 damage on the fucking PLD. So... basically a raged mob.

Anyways, bobby ended up getting his fucking ass handed to him. Lots of cheering and laughing.

On an extra note, it takes place in a WotG dungeon... and you can select what kind of music there is. And there's a nominal fee for entry and some of the music may cost gil, or moblin marbles, to get it.

-The Swarm: Lemme tell you. Everyone was fucking PIMPED OUT. Everyone had the upgraded Mythics, MNK had full Usukane... though, the THF was stuck with Denali Bonnet for some god forbidden reason. Still, I got to test out the MNK and THF. It is hawt... very very very hawt.

-Caskets: The server we were on also had the Caskets. Oddly enough before it ended I decided to kill a few things outside of jeuno and one dropped. We were all "OMGZ! CASKET OPEN OPEN!"

We got 3 of the temp items and 0 of the regular items. So... red, armor, caskets are going to be rather rare.

Extras: Scott of the VG Cats was there. We were given a 8-11 and a half sheet with one of the adventure logs on them (I got the GM call one). I got mine signed and a quick sketch of a mithra kicking a hume in the ass >3. Ended up giving that to my friend Vincent about two hours ago, since he's a big fan and everything.

Then... there was the whiny bastards of BG, ffxiclopedia, PFA, and etc... Food at the twist was... very salady. Not a lot of heavy in fat stuff.

Anyways, going to upload pictures and use my Mog Shield code.

Also....

I have an extra set of the Tarut cards. Pondering about giving them away to one of ya.

I read on the Quetzacoatl forums that the fanfest this year was a bit disappointing.
It seems that only 500 tickets were available (vs the 1500~2000 in previous years)

Reading what you got to see and do there, they really did keep it really small this year.

No plans?
No announcements?
Just some stuff directly related to the December update next monday and some fan artists?

If that's really the case I am glad I saved my money and decided not to go this year.

Bleh, while it rather small, its not disapointing. Though, someone did ask for Ballista Royale to come back.

Anyways, it was fun and the DNC Relic looks niiiiiice.

How the hell could it not be fun? You're at a place full of people doing what you do!

Plus Sage Sundi coming out with a BG Hat on was priceless.
