"Tsybil cannot eat the Phanauet Newt"

I decided to check out Carpenter's Landing, and it being a New Moon, I had my fishing gear.

The newts were biting like crazy, and didn't stack, so being a crouiorus kitty, I tried to eat one. I couldn't.

It is yellow in inventory, a color reserved for things you can "use" as food or bait. Nope, it isn't bait either.

Ummmm... any idea what gives here?

Carpenter's Landing itself seems to be full of optomistic level 26 critters, lots of Thunder weather and Elementals. The Elementals get to level 30. I can take them with my dagger wearing fishing gear though, so no real problem there except the inventory space.

I bet it is a grrreat place to level to about 24.

I've hunted elementals there in Carpernter's Landing...is it one of those new areas that came with CoP? If so, I didn't know...I want to find out about that boat there. I talked to the lady and she said that I won't be allowed to board~~!

The boat has been disabled until they fix the clamming exploit.

clamming exploit? what is this about? all i know is they ripped me 80gil for a ticket and i cant go

There was an exploit allowing a person to do endless amounts of clamming without buying the tools forrr it. Think of it like not needing mining picks/sickles/hatchets to harvest and you get the idea.
