finally got my mannequin body this morning, so I turned in all my pieces about an hour before jp midnight, then picked up my mannequin, and I also quested my mannequin pumps today

got 20k assault points in two areas... so now I have enough to get Amir boots & shorts.

I mention this to the people I do assaults with and am told that gear is garbage for samurai. Happy bubble popped.
One person suggests a couple other options & I remembered asking for help with one of them and the very same person telling me no...

or going off to help other people with the same thing and not telling me.
In a word... REALLY?!

Started the CS for my next assault rank up... something about planting mushrooms.. what?? I thought the push-up/sit-up/run thing was weird, but this is...

Non-ffxi: woot got a 3-day weekend coming up sun/mon/tues off. Damn do I need it.........

Amir legs suck from knowledge but the Boots are pretty good for any melee. There's Fuma Kyahan/Suna-Ate or Dusk boots if you want Haste but that's about it.

I'm also getting a friend to help me out with my AF1 quest tomorrow night. I'm very excited to get my first AF item on FFXI.

I've also purchased Brigidine Armor for lvl 45, but I'm not sure what to do about other armor for this level range. Any advice on what to add to my shopping list will be much appreciated.

Jujitsu Gi L 40, Def 27, Accuracy +4

Brigandine L 45, Def 32, HP +10, Dexterity +2, Vitality +2

Luisant Haubert L 45, Def 30, Strength +2, Dexterity +2, Accuracy +3, Attack +3, Evasion -12

As my melee kitty I TPed in the Gi, tanked in the Brig, and lusted after the Luisant, unfindable and unafordable back then. But then I am an Acc junkie.

Popped on this morning to finish the update download, got in and got Allied something Wings of Service

Also got my Cobra Subligar but alas they require Wings rank and 50,000 Allied Notes each. Feet will require a fair bit more Campaign grinding and hate to think how much the Harness will cost when it comes out, 100,000?

Beat WotG Mission 3-7.

Yagudo Quest BCNM (Windy [S]) was funner than hell. Just beat up a bunch of yags who had 400 HP each.

And then WotG Mission 6 was Pathetic. Went with BLM, THF, WHMx4 (Most of the party just ran to the BC entrance and waited).

Gonna be a year before the BCs get difficult x,x.

BTW: The blue shadowhand NPC guys are hilarious... and Cait Sith scares me to the point that Jack Sparrow did.

Killed the new Puk nm twice, got the cool sword, which would be nice to dual wield with RDM/NIN but no Garuda -2 perp head yet.

I'll have to get more Zeni...

Managed to nab me some Cobra Leggings shortly after to complete the set too (besides the Harness which is yet to be releaed)

I also found out that I don't need to use Wild Flourish to self-SC and instead of being stuck to Scission and Transfixiation I can now make Distortion and Fragmentation instead

Further proof that /NIN < /somethingelse (SAM in this case)

Sahyu now has access to the past as my npc companion.

NOTICE: To do this with your npc, talk to the C.A. dude and teleport to Saurmonge S. Go through Citadel and exit out to the top where the shrouded maw is. Go through the maw (If you havn't already, then you'll need to do this step a second time) and you'll recieve a cs with your companion that results in access to the past.
