I'm not to sure. Although, perhaps somehow getting Adobe Photoshop would help you out a bit. Element/CS will do fine, Some blurring and darkning up the character to match the background will do you well.
Using model viewer? Set the background to a bright blue, take the screenshot and use photoshop to delete the blue (magic wand) then zoom in and use the eraser to get rid of the small bits.
I still don't know how people get such smooth models with good lighting but a good tip is to take the screenshot larger than you want it and shrink it in photoshop, will make it look less grainy and a bit smoother.
You're the pirate everyone else wants to throw in the ocean -- not to get rid of you, you understand; just to get rid of the smell. You can be a little bit unpredictable, but a pirate's life is far from full of certainties, so that fits in pretty well. Arr!

No idea on how to find the serial number, but Sug's suggestion of taking a big screenshot and shrinking it down to what you need is a good one. I use that trick alot when I'm messing around with sigs and it does help.
Oh and-
Your pirate name is:
Bloody Jenny Read
Every pirate lives for something different. For some, it's the open sea. For others (the masochists), it's the food. For you, it's definitely the fighting. Even through many pirates have a reputation for not being the brightest souls on earth, you defy the sterotypes. You've got taste and education. Arr!
