I just got the best news ever.

So I logged into Yahoo! IM and I got the following message:

"Hey Keav. Bad news. The LS is breaking and we're quitting. Sorry, bro. Maybe you can find another HNMLS to join. Best of luck."

This was from an old friend who was pressuring me to join his HNMLS. Why is this good news? The pressure i've been under for the last year is gone!

Well, maybe I should explain the story: Back in October 2004 (When I started playing WHM with Taylor) I was given a pearl for an LS. By April of 2005 me and the rest of the members were in the 50's level-wise and were looking forward to creating a HNMLS and statics for subs and other jobs we wanted to level. Then my PS2 died. When I came back in October 2005 I had to start over as Keavy and most of my friends were now nearing level 75 and had their HNMLS going. When I ran into my old friend a day after coming back he gave me a pearl and told me when I leveled I would join the group. At first I was like "All right!" so I start leveling WHM and RDM in preparation.

As time went on I felt more and more left out because they would be in Dynamis and there I was in the jungles. So that's when I joined Mithra Pride. I figured I could come here for the social stuff then join my friends when I got to level 65. Then life got in the way which slowed my leveling. Then there was the LS leader's in-game wife. She didn't like me from the start (I know this is gonna sound crazy, but the reason she hates me is because I and an ex-member member she hates both have the Mithra's with blond pigtails) and was constantly hounding me to level. I would be fishing or crafting or farming and she would /tell me: "What are you doing in (Bastok Mines, Windy Woods, Giddeus) you should be leveling!" so I would respond "I need money for food and gear!" and her response was: "Keavy, no one cares what your gear is like or whether or not you use food. Just level. We need you." The thing is...I care.

So yeah, since last month when I decided to take a break from WHM to level subs and crafting she has been hounding me relentlessly and everytime I blacklist her or one of her mules she would make another one! I didn't report her to the GM's (Because the leader is a good friend of mine and I knew she would start trouble between us) but I did talk to her husband and ask him to tell her to lay off but that only made things worse.

So yeah, knowing that the LS is gone and knowing that I can fish and craft in peace and level at my own pace is the second best news I could have ever gotten. The best news I could have ever gotten is that Lindsay Lohan wants to be my sugar momma.

I hate it when people say you have to level in FFXI (like the only good FFXI experience is in higher levels). I'm not level 75 and I am content. Am I missing out on things? Maybe... but from what I hear from other lvl 75s, endgame can be a pain.

She has a live journal? Sure it's her and not someone pretending to be her?

FFXI Endgame does indeed suck. My advice once you get there is to find a Dynamis shell, get your AF2 then leave Party with friends, get merits then start a new job. Leveling is much more satisfying than anything endgame has to offer.

Things are looking like early/mid January, not counting the extremely few maybe once a month times I can steal my friend's computer and log in at her house.... I've got 300-500k or something, I'm not hurting for cash or nothing.
