Bless whatever lord you worship that you have the moderating influence of the coast. It's why England though further north then parts of America with the same weather, remains so cool despite it's global position.
You think you have it bad? Last week it hit 110 here with humidity % close to that, in St. Louis, 1000+miles from any coast. ^.^ I'd trade ya climates, but not natural disasters. Our tornado's only usually cause double digit deaths per twister, hurricanes are much worse or so the media says.

In Okinawa it hits 90 degrees + everyday. Its gets cold on this Island..Umm...uhhh....NEVER. Very hot and humid even at night, it gets worse when it rains, and we get hit by Typhoons often.
Honestly the weather hates Marines. Im not kidding.
We wake up for PT (Physical Training) at 5 am right? Well it will be cloudy and everything for HOURS but wont actually rain until we take off running. PT is only cancelled if it rains right before...
It will be hot and sunny all week. Yet on Saturday and Sundays (our days off) It will be pouring rain...
Thyphoons only hit on the weekend so we are secured to the Barracks. They also hit on the holidays were we are supposed to have 4 days off...
Also for some odd reason, it seems to have a mini flash flood lasting about 30 seconds at random times, all which seem to catch ALOT of Marines when we are outside. Basicaly enough to drench us to the point where we go to work pissed... Example? Catching a Taxi outside while heading to work. Playing a softball game. BBQ's and my favorite, Walking down the steps that lead to work (I always seem to get sprayed right there) and especially when outside walking to the Mess Hall.
And people wonder why I "love" Okinawa so much >.>
