WoW to offer server migration

The long-discussed "Paid Character Transfer" feature coming to Blizzard's MMO monolith World of Warcraft surfaced via Vivendi Games' Australia according to APC Start (the incredibly detailed transfer FAQ surfaced elsewhere, but the sites pulled the information at the request of Vivendi).

The new character transfer service will cost players $25 per character (not per account) and they will be able to transfer from a list of servers to a list of servers (realms with high populations likely won't be able to receive new players to further cripple the server loads). Players will only be able to transfer a particular character once every six months and also won't be able to transfer from PvE (player versus environment) to PvP (player versus player) rulesets (the vice versa, however, will be allowed).

I don't think they will, when Ryuene (Valefor MP's original shell holder) left we didn't kill him/her. Kessa just bought a new shell and we reformed it.

$25/character seems a bit steep.
I have too many friends on Bahamut to want to move though.
