What would you do?

So your the creater of FFXI and youve just sold your product to square enix. But as you play you feel that there is something amiss. So you think to yourself. What would you do the make the game better.

My opinion: Allow all races of character to marry each other, even if its the same gender. Cause alot of guys do play as mithra and it would sooooo suck to have to marry a guy char. I mean come on, Im not smooching on no guy for wedding gear XD

How'd you explain all the yaoi then?

No I don't think they have an issue with it anymore but many places still do and allowing it would seem like they're making a political stand or something ^^

itd because North America frowns upon homosexuality.with all those right wing anal retentive red neck christian groups,if SE allowed same sex marriages they'd jump all over em,saying its teaching kids how to be gay or whatever.ya know how those bible thumping red necks are

that is why I hate taht crap -.- at my old highschool I learned that they stopped doing the Sady Hockens dance
(specal dance where the girls ask the guys),
because a parent started complaing that it promoted homosexuality, I was like what the hell.............

This is a notice to let people know that an admin has been contacted about this thread. I'd, uh... I'd probably just focus on stupid cosmetic changes, like... uh... enhancing the female form.

Oh yeah, for the record, Yaoi is generally made by women for women, it's pr0n basically. There's a difference between Yaoi and Shonen Ai.

Hes only speaking the truth. Some ppl will find it offensive. Like me for example. Being the christian that i am. but im more kind than most and just skipped through the post that Chaos and a few others put up.

I understand how ya feel. After all. Out of 5 of my posts that actuallly got ppl responding and looked like a nice thread. 3 of them got locked. So i definately understand what ya mean.

Actually I don't see a problem with this thread. There has been no flaming what so ever that I've noticed.

Any way, improvements.

The people need away to get the really important jobs in a party easier, there have been way too many times when I and many other people have been unable to find that mage, or find that tank that they need to complete a decent party. Introduction of support and tank jobs I think are the answer, and would likely help out everyone.

*ahem* I think I know the difference between Yaoi, Shonen Ai, Yuri, Ecchi, Hentai etc. etc. I've been watching anime before you were born! probably not

point was that if the Japanese didn't approve of homosexuality that much they wouldn't allow so many of this on TV.
Have you seen Card Captor Sakura (not Card Captors the subbed version) Sakura's brother clearly has a thing for his best friend (who is a guy and some mystic magic person aswell).

Anyways, more and more long term players are leaving the game (like me) 'cause end game pretty much sucks. It's a giant anti-climax, in my opinion.

Sorry, didn't mean to upset anyone. Just I have this BA in History that comes out way too often.

And I wasn't decribing '50s Japan, but '50s America. I was trying to illustrate the attitudes in today's Japan.

For a good look at the dicotmy of American attitudes in the 20th century I will heartily recomend the movie "Before Stonewall". Among other things it has a few clips from an all drag USO troupe that entertained the troops in all the war zones of WWII. Yes those same drag queens who were not allowed to fight the Axis powers were shipped around the world to entertain our troops.

i did not imply that you were the same as those right wing christian groups PH.all i meant was that there are many groups in North America who swear by the bible.if SE allowed same sex marriages those groups would be in a up roar,claiming the SE is promoting homosexuality and they would try to have FF banned from NA or some other completely retarded bull sh*t thing.and about kai's comment on sandy hopkins dance,my old junior high used to do that every year as well,until a few parents got the idea that it was promoting homosexuality and protested the school board and municiple government.they claimed that it promoted homosexuality and weakened the role of men in society.and my response to this was,you guess it,laughing myself into a coma.i thought it was so stupid.how is a girl asking a guy to a dance promoting homosexuality,or weakening the role of males in society?
