New summons, Diabolos and Bahamut!

As far as I read only Diabolos will be a new summon and Bahamut will just be a quest to fight him.

Tho everything looks real interesting!

I want a Diabolos summon ._.

Now, I've been saying this for awhile...

Bahamut will, most likely, NEVER become a FFXI summon, due to his overwhelming connection to the CoP plotline. Due to that fact, the likiness of him ever becoming a summon are so low that they have a better chance of adding Eden from FFVIII than they do of him.

Looks interesting, quite a few of his/her/its stuff is AOE which kinda sucks. Attack that Sleeps and reduces HP... wouldn't that nullify the sleep?

Anyone got any pictures of this one from other games? I've only seen avatars from VII, TA and XI of course.

I'll lvl my Smn when I unlock everyone. Fenrir/Diabolos @ lvl 1 Smn *drool* I'll be the love of every party...

Diablos was a GF (summon) in FFVIII. His attack was a a Demi style attack. It would reduce a % of the enemies HP.

My favorite summon from FFVIII.
It was so badass, he would lower out of a black bubble, spread his wings, then reach up grab it and slam it on the enemies taking a percentage of their HP away. It was almost as good as the Bahamut Zero summon from FFVII

Normally that should,
But there is another mobs in the game with a high damage AoE move that sleeps.
Not fun.

Smoothest update I have seen SE pull off yet and seems everyone is happy with the additions ect.

On a more serious note though, my taru ls leader has lost his marbles, he stayed up all night lastnight and took today off just so he could do the CoP missions and anything else he needed just so he could get Diabolos LOL.

He kept emoting his character was foaming at the mouth whenever someone mentioned the name Diabolos. roflmao

Linkshell got this summon yesterday and today.
looks very big ~_~ though summoners said that BP isnt all that great... though I havent seen actual BP.
also its been said that there are glitches with Diabolos BP,Miaintenance Fee is not working with currenct equipments you are wearing.

Strategy? ^^

Its very easy and can be killed less than 1min with certain set-up.
Its not 6 Summoner =O... u get owned if u go 6summoners.

Excluding the armies of BSTs who are threatening to quit

One of the first things i saw when I logged on yesterday was a taru summoning Diablos. I did a quick /panic emote, before spamming {run away!}; I got lots of funny looks

EDIT - OMG the irony! PoL viewer is presently showing that Diablos server had to have recovery maintanace. Coincidence?

The RDM furom on alla particulary was up in arms over the loss
of yet another spell right before the update. Phalanx is right next to Refresh and Dispel in our small but beloved "rdm only' spell list.

I've played SMN quite a bit (dinged 41 last night on CoP 2-3!)
and I really wasn't too worried about it. I figured that the Phalanx-ga would last at most a min or so like Shiva's Frost Armor or Haste-ga does. Glad to see I was right not to worry

though summoners said that BP isnt all that great

I still want him though, hehe. I want him and fenrir enough to not lvl smn too much until I get them. Good thing my main is close to end-game stuff or the waiting would kill me.
