I randomly got in the mood to work on my RPG again.....

I use RPG Maker XP and make custome scripts to make most of it

First I am basicly just going to start over, my old project was lost a while back and I cant find my backup -.-

I need help this time around, I would like MP to help me come up with some things ^.^ but remember I cant place everything in it ^.^

I will have one poll a day

1st Poll Battle system
2nd Poll Magic
3rd Poll Charaters
4th Poll party

I like the side-view the best. It's worked great in those games, hasn't it? I've never had problems with it

There's a reason why they did the Mystic Quest style once and never again. In my opinion that's because of the way you see movement.

Side view, you can have people move forward to attack. Dragoons who jump up. All sorts of other things. You can also see the character's faces.

However, when you're facing the same direction as the PC's, all you can see is their backs. Also, when they move forward to attack, they move up the screen. If someone flies upwards, they too move up from your point of view. Visibility is screwed from that style.

Stick with side view.

how about you go alitle crazyer and import 3d model frames into rpg maker XP (i think it can do that) specifically for the battle system

it shouldnt be too bad to create FFVII ish battle figures based on that idea.

I thought about that...but after researching it, decided it would be to much for me to bother with right now, maybe in the sequal? hehehe

Side view has worked ever since Chrono Trigger.

is ther a way to delet threads, I need to get rid of this one because there is going to be 3 more polls after this one, and I dont want to have them all up

but I cant do mutiple polls on a thread, and it is easyer to do polls, then me haveing to count or keep track of opinions :p

It actually is easier to keep track of posts. Post everything in one thread, and have members talk about what they would like to see. See how it works out.
