I'm still interested in cosplay, and any tips on how to get started would be much appreciated. ^^ Some patterns, no matter how basic, would be helpful, as would a site with pictures of AF armor, etc. Not necessarily cosplay pictures, just something to show me what they look like. And thank you for posting those pictures, they are awesome. 
Patterns.... I have been drafting and adapting my own for a long time now. You need to have a good idea of the costume in your mind's eye and then search through the pattern books for something with similar lines and seams. I made a military cut jacket back in the Hippy Era that had the ideal cut for a Warlock's Tablard. I hope it is still in print. I dobut it though.Janeth wrote:..... Lorien Trust is the first LARP I've done that even allows children to be on-site. And believe me, after a weekend with kids chasing you about shouting "give us your money!!!" you begin to miss the days when the youngest person in attendance was 14. Says the person who switches claims on gender every couple weeks? Says the person who has played countless hours as a fictional character on an MMORPG? Yugi, what is different from them dressing up to have fun and you logging in to FFXI to have fun? Judging by their quality, I'm assuming some level of professionality from them. They may even be making money from that.
