Why would anyone not want to be from Windy? Its soooo much better than all of the other citehs...

(Jeuno doesnt count because there are too many f***ing people.. )

Windy annoys me

Sandy > all

bastok...I hated that city in beta when I discovered it, I continued to hate it. Not really sure why but for some odd reason I always find myself angry when I go into Bastok.

I prefer to be in Windy. The scenery is great and you feel like you can breathe in there.

Sandy is pretty nice too. The only thing that bugs me is the Elvaans in the Chateaux. So arrogant, you know?

Bastok is...ugh...can't breathe!

To start off, nice biased poll. You can call each nation but Windurst names... cute. I myself am from Bastok. Always have been, always will be. I cannot stand Windurst in anyway. San Doria isn't too bad, Jeuno is ok at times but I get sick of that place alot. Too many n00bs in one spot lol.

I am almost rank 10 in Bastok, when I hit 10, I been debating whether or not to change nations to see the story line behind each othe nations. I can say this much, i'll switch to San Doria before I join Windurst.

i dont think i like sandy so much as i do ronfaure. but these days, everytime i walk back into sandy, i get that feeling of nostalgia from when i was a noobish kitten who had nothing but a fist full of dreams ^^
i dunno why, but being in bastok makes me wanna go build something. windy makes me wanna go fishin

i dunno, lol... im real sensitive to the environments that im in i guess.. rl or not.
but windy is too big, and bastok makes me feel like im in a slum. as soon as i hit rank 10 though, ill prolly move to windy... or maybe bastok.. murrrr, im confuzzled

I know! I feel the same way! I think who evermade the roads in Windurst were smoking too much chocobo grass either that or hoppedup on magic!!

i can only imagine how hard it is for a taru to get around there, especially if it sucks for someone much taller to get around :<

on that note, if you think about how fast a taru runs reletive to its size, its hauling some major ass. theyre only about 2 or so feet tall, but can run as fast as a mithra

imagine if they were our size. theyd give rapido a run for his money!

Taru have to be using some sorta magic judging by the way they walk.

I'm currently rank 10 in Sandy. I'll likely be switching to Windy later this week to achieve rank 10 there, and then lastly to Bastok. I mainly want bastok because I started there as a hume

when i was on Ifrit server, bunch of friends got me to make a new character on Valefor where I started over as a mithra

. So bastok is like a second home to me.

Besides, I want my Master caster's mitts to be always active.

Windurst is the only city with a public transit system. If you learn it, and have done the Flower Girl quest, it is as easy to get around as San d'Oria.

I don't like Bastok much. Except for the Goldsmith Guild, the shopping, and a bit of fishing. My Hume THF comes from Bastok. Her attitude is "The housing is free and the Ring was nice till level 14...."

San d'Oria is just beautiful. The Queen's Garden is one of my favorite places in the world. But whoever said "the snooty Elvaan in the Castle" just hasn't talked to the townsfolk and guards. Way too many of them have the attitude that EVERYONE save native born Elvaan are beneath them, this includes San d'Orian Elvaan adventurers.

I'm a windy kitty^^ and I have some strong opinions about the other two nation cities just like y'all do^^ so feel free to flame me all ya want. Windy will always win over Sandy or Basty.

I prefer Sandy to Basty, I like the whole high medieval fortified town feel and the Rons are gorgeous forests.
I don't like the arrogant and smug elvaans who live there. The Sandy theme gets old quick. And I personally couldn't live permantley in a place thats so grey or regimented either.

Now basty....without getting into the Galka/Hume racial tensions..the Gustas are ugly wastelands and the only (I use the term loosely) civilization is a butt ugly town that looks as if it were made out of poorly quarried stone with no eye towards comforts or looks. Which considering Bastoks mining history you'd think they could carve building stone. For a nation that prides itself on its engineering...Bastok is what they built? Oh well...its not like I live there. And I hate basty's theme too. Its very metallic sounding and starts to grate after about 20secs.

Windy is big...huge really. But with the MH exit upgrade and the warp pts found in each area of town its really very easy to get around. Now for a town built of mages and kitties is it any surprise that its spread out and winding? Kitties need space, trees to climb and places to fish^^ And all that warping around is good practice for the mages hehe.

I just find Windy to be a cheerful place to live/visit (been renting in Jueno mostly), Sandy to be militant and hanging on to old glory to prove their greatness and Basty to be a mining town one step up from a slum (oh wait...Basty has slums doesn't it?)...make that a half step up from a slum.

So thats why Windy wins in the best place to live poll^^

Than was born and raised in Bastok then moved to Sandy at the request of his friends. (For easier partying, naturally.)

I have to say, my favorite city to be in is Sandy. Yeah, some of the Elvaan are a little stuck up, but they're really not bad. You just have to prove yourself and do some quests. I guess in Sandy, you earn your respect, you're not entitled to it. ^.~ All in all, I prefer the outright arrogance to the Hume-Galka racial tension in Bastok and the frequently two-faced Taru-taru.

I prefer the ease of transportation in Sandoria, too. I also prefer the surrounding areas, and the atmosphere of the city. The proximity to Ghelsba and Orc-related Fire-crystals and the relative nearness of easy lumber please me as well.

If I could change anything, I'd prefer if the Guilds were a little me-oriented and that Yughott Grotto was a slightly better mining place. Bastok is a close second.

Windy = Kazham(Pretty much, windy is as close to kazham as any other city.)
Jeuno.... look in my first post.
No one can live in jeuno because there are too many f***ing people.
Even the NPC's commute there.
