--- Prologue ---

One day in Windurst, I was talking to someone about the city, and I said something that made them ask me how I could’ve asked such a question. I stared at them blankly, wondering what I had said that was so odd. The response I had was, “You would think someone who grew up here would know such a thing.”

I replied, “I didn’t grow up here.”
“Oh, really? Where did you grow up then?”
“Tahrongi Canyon.”
“Woah. I never knew that.”

Then it hit me… almost no one knew that. I have shared this information with very few people. Why is that? For one, who cares? I find very few people who want to really get to know me… so why bring it up? For another, I wouldn’t call my kittenhood a happy one, and it’s hard to think about it without weeping. Who wants to intentionally bring oneself to weep? Sometimes I wish I could forget it all… but you know what they say… “Your past makes you what you are.”

And so, I will share my story. I don’t really think many people want to know, but for those that want to know more about Firemyst, and why I am the way I am, I guess this is the opportunity to do so.
