Partying as a Duo/Trio

Is there anyone here that regulary parties as a Duo or even a Trio to get quest items/Experiance points? Just curious

I used to duo as a summoner with Kashell as a beastmaster in Gusgen Mines for awhile. We fought bombs on the lowest level... and we even killed a invisible taru walking by when one of them exploded.

That's mostly why the xp is ok... if the bomb explodes, only your pets take the damage (I used Ifrit who barely got scratched), and you can move on to the next bomb even sooner.

I sometimes do, it was back when my friend ari took me for kazham keys, well we duoed giddeous and palby 25 smn for her and 25 war for me

I have been in a duo for xp before. A setup that worked well for us was a NIN/WAR (myself) and a RDM/BLM (my friend). I shift focus from a tanking ninja to more of a DD ninja tank. I would pull the enemy in and focus on doing as much damage as possible while keeping my shadows up. The RDM would handle the enfeebing, buffing, occasional healing if there was an AoE and would then join in the fight. I easily held hate without ever having to provoke and the only ninja tools I used was shihei. We never had any down time do to the fact that we were taking very little damage and the RDM had no trouble keeping his MP full. With this setup we safely took down decents, evens, and even a few toughs (mostly gobs in Altepa, for their fire crystals) granted we were only making about 1.5k to 2k xp an hour but there were never any close calls, or times when we got down to a few pixels of health. I do believe that we could have taken (and maybe even chained) evens and toughs if we were in a better area. Another thing was that we were able to cap many of our skills off the evens and toughs.

Nothing compared to a well oiled party but I feel we pulled a decent amount of xp at the cost of very little gil and/or effort.

I paired with a Mithra MNK in my early days, we first got together at me RDM 16 her MNK 14, then several more times with sujobs through about level 23 when she dropped.

We were a good pair, almost telepathic in combat. Also, there are lots of Skillchains with knucks and sword. Chain 2 no problem, Ts & ITs no problem. I still miss her.

i saw a mithra mnk with mnk af..i think duo and trio parties are neat old school ff party.^-^

A character of mine has been duoing RNG with a another Mithra. RNG/WAR RNG/WHM against worms. The other kitty had never soloed worms with archery. After the first worm we killed she almost fell over with surprise. "OMFG, that was the easiest 200 EXPs I ever made."
