I really really doubt you've done anything to warrant a site ban and I doubt Firemyst would do such a thing.
Everyone gets FFXI burnout from time to time and gets bored/discouraged (I call them the lvl 50 blues
). The best thing I could suggest is to try something different in FFXI (like fishing, crafting, or even helping random people you see in towns with quests and such), or just take a week or two break. Doing things that frustrate you only makes things worse game wise. I've seen many players become embittered over doing things in FFXI they don't enjoy (be it leveling, HNM camping, etc). As Tivia said, FFXI is a game, and games are designed to be enjoyed. If you don't enjoy doing XXX in the game then a break may be needed or a change of pace.
As for me, the #1 reason why I play FFXI is my friends in the game. FFXI would get very dull to me if it didn't have a multiplayer aspect to it. People in the game are what keeps the game fresh and interesting IMHO not the content per say. If it wasn't for MithraPride and my fellow kitties, I doubt I would still be playing.
Maybe part of the problem is that you don't have many people in your LS to interact with? I really don't know your situation so I am only speculating. Sometimes people also switch linkshells when they get bored so they can meet new people. Maybe that would help?
As for what I am doing, I'm getting ready for the upcoming lvl 30 garrison event this weekend. It should be interesting, I have yet to host a lvl 30 garrison (I've only done the lvl 20 ones so far).

I've been folowing this topic for a bit and as far as I can see this is somthing I'd rather stay out.....

As for getting burned out from the game,
yeah I agree with Prrsha, try something different like crafting, questing or helping out newer players: Subjob {Item}{Do you need any help?}/ Jueno Escort now leaving!.
Massacre some mobs with friends, do skillup sessions for other weapons then your usual.
Or generally take a little break, play something else for a while.
