Another DDoS attack

As of 12:00 PM EST, the PoL servers are undergoing another DDoS attack. The attacks seem to be timed for a certain time period/window each day. Hopefully they will clear up later like they did yesterday. :/

Well, I'm afraid that can and will take a long time

I think there's more then one person doing this, and even then they will have to do a lot of tracing to actually find the chap(s) doing this.
To trace out the perp. they might need to trace back 1000's of PC's worldwide, and even then there's no certainty that they will find them.

They will get bored with this sometime and then they will stop, it just needs a little patience.

The sad thing is that people are canceling their acounts over this. They blame SE. In reality it's not their fault really and there is little one can do against a DDoS attack.

The other sad thing is that might be just what the hackers want to happen.=/ But hopefully most people will stick with the game so it can keep going, i doubt it will cause any permenate harm to the game.

FFXI has done wonders for giving me somewhat of a social life... i'll never leave FFXI... SE and b4 SE: Square has gained my approval since my 1st Square game... i think it was FFVIII... and Enix has been good too so... any product of SE is gonna have my approval even if it sux (The Bouncer wasnt the best game but i liked the characters in it)... anyway i love FFXI and if the goal of these DDoSs is to get rid of players then they'll have to have like divine powers to pry me away

I just started R.O.S.E. Online a bit ago. Perfect timing if you ask me. Maybe by the time the attacks are over, I'll be sick of that and playing FFXI again. ^^ It's nice to at least do something different once and a while.

It sounds racist, but I'm inclined to think the attacks are coming from China as well.

It's only because anti-Japan sentiments have flared there recently, about the time the attacks started, and that law enforcement there has shown to be lax over Chinese citizens assaulting Japanese visitors and interests so far.

So even if the attacks were traced to China, as they very well may have by now, there's probably going to be nothing done about it, considering the current mood there.

Also, who even says it has to be a game let alone an online game? I can go play football and basketball with my friends any day I want any time I want. I don't need video games.

You my friend are addicted and have a serious problem. If you’re looking to an online game for a social life you should really seek some professional help.

Also, that was horrendous; please don't ever type something that horrible. I don't want to have to fix something like that again.

Okay first of all, where do you find this sh*t Prrsha? Also, the first one I had to take off my pop-up blocker to even get the page to begin loading, which gave me the initial thought that it was crap. Anyways it didn't even load so meh.
