MP boards hacked?

Why does the title of the MP forum now read, "Mithras are dykes?" Is this some kind of sick joke?

Have anything to do with the unavailablity of the forums earlier?

Wow, whoever did it must really have no life to actually hack a fansite board... :lol:

On a second note...The timing of this and SE's third party attacks is disturbing.... :shock:

Have you been on when the server ummm.... burped and half or more of the population got DCed? Been happening for two weeks or more now.

That is the result of the DoS attacks.

Squenix only announced the troubles were a third party attack recently.

yeah, i was online during the more recent time that happened, right before SE took everything down. It was interesting because the server kinda came down piece by piece until SE basically said F&#K IT, and took everything down. First the AH was screwing up, next, the /sea function stopped working, then zones began to shut down, when the servers came down i was a bit pissed because i was in the middle of DRG quest.

I wasn't online when the servers went down. But it sounds like they were pretty good hackers to hack those huge servers. o.O

Not really...all you need is to find a tutorial on DDoS-ing and a way to trojan a bunch of computers to get the resources to do it (email for example)...any moron can really do it.

Think of it this way,

Any one with google can go and enter "Ddos"+"Tutorial"-"Protect", and find it.
The only difficult part is getting enough comps. It was a sad day when our school network got Ddos'd by a disgruntled student who recently was suspended. Mind you, he had no idea what an IP adress was a week previous.
