Killed Bubbly Bernie today....didn't last long though - only 2 strikes with my Great Katana and down it went.

I was re reading this thread when i noticed something...

on your command list tehre with BB....

call for help is not an option i have...

maybe i need to look closer on my screen

It's under "disengage". Just use the rt arrow like you would in the magic menu and it will toggle to "call for help".

I could always type in /help if i needed it... but i prefered to die with honor to keep the party alive.

besides, i found out on my sever, that only in places with high player traffic is there any hope of getting people to assist with a /help call. and by "high player traffic" i mean "overcamped"

theres a ??? by the lighthouse in gustaberg, just trade a Quus to it.

yeah, trade Quus to the ??? by the lighthouse. It'll drop Steam Clock (or something like that), it's for a quest. You flag it by talking to the lady thats in the house near the magic shop in Bastok Markets.

The point is to get the Steam Clock to finish a quest.

The quest is repeatable, but you can only hold 1 clock at a time.

I had played for 14 - 15 months before I learned that one. Not at all obvious. I think I had hit level 20 on my second time around at that point.

I agree with Kahvi on calling for help.

if you do have warp, BB is your best friend. walk out, kill bernie, warp to mines, mail the clock to yourself, walk out kill bernie and repeat till delivery box is full. Then go to the markets and run clocks warping back to the mog house, repeat till all clocks are turned in. A stack of the fish will give you 6k.

so... u can have more than 1 of the same Rare item as long as its in ur delivery box?

if thats so i can try for multiple Mist Silk Capes... i thought since i had 1 i'd have to stop campin him or stuff (bout 50% of my Spipi claims were run bys... that i picked up from Widescan... and i would have definately missed it had there been ppl campin it at the time

)

btw i new bout the "Call For Help" command since i started playin... i just noticed the little arrow beside the "Disengage" command

I don't believe the steam clock is rare.

i think it's a glytch in the game....it's the only rare item i know that this works with >.>;;

and so....abuse it to it's fullest!

Christmas trees are rare, and I had to send them around a while back so I could recreate some of my characters and as long as they were in my inbox, I could hold them, but since I had some already sitting in my Mog House, I couldn't take them out of the Inbox until I removed them.
