Finally did G1 tonight..somewhat funny ending.

Had a nice G1 run tonight, had picked up the Exoray Mold earlier, went tonight for the Bomb Coal and Papyrus. I think we were in Garliadge for maybe 30 minutes, got the coal on the first hit. In Eldiemine we had a fairly full party, Sam, Pld, Blm, Thf, Me as whm and a second whm. I died once when a Hellhound agroed me like a micro second of sneak dropping while i was passing, then we nearly died again when the blm decided to dia pull a lich from one area to take it to the main fighters..who were currently fighting a pack of hellhounds and a lich..a fun night.

We musta stayed in there for 2hrs with nothing..thf has to leave and i go afk for a minute, i come back and find a paper in the treasure pool..apparently the instant the thf left we got the paper drop. So has anything like this happened to any of you?

more times than I'd like to remember, i've gone to help someone get a key drop or some other quest item after travelling halfway across the world...only to have the get the drop right before I got there, or after the first or second mob they kill after i get there (so i don't even reach combat)

Hmmm... my G1 paper I got on my first Lich ever, my high level friend went there ahead of time and I zoned as he killed a Lich, and the paper dropped.

I remember back in the days when we were hunting for a Carbuncle's Ruby, I'd arrive on the scene and the leeches would drop a ruby after I got there.

lol, yeah, the carbuncle ruby drops for me fairly often in Bubu penisula, more often than silks from crawlers it seems....if only i could sell those rubies....
