The Transporter
Ice Age
Back to the Future
Rocky Balboa (Longest series ive ever seen. lol)
Lord of the Ring (best damn Fantasy/Adventure movie ever)
and lastly, Rush Hour
Back to the Future was originally CONCEIVED as a three part time travel movie.Keavy wrote:I think what made Back to the Future work so well is that in the end, they all tie together.
But some were real losers. Even by trekie standards.ScarlettPheonix wrote: Sequels/series I liked include:
The Star Trek series (my favorites are 2, 3, 4 and 8 )
Blame JRRT, Not Hollywood.ScarlettPheonix wrote:Lord of the Rings (of course)
ScarlettPheonix wrote:Antonio Bandera as El Mariachi (can't think of the series title)
ScarlettPheonix wrote:Kevin Smith's Jay and Silent Bob "series"- Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, J-SB Strike Back and Clerks II
Ditto. I have the nagging suspicion that that trio was conceived as a trio. Rather like the BttF set.ScarlettPheonix wrote:Mad Max series

Again, do not blame Hollywood for the Bond Flicks not sucking. Blame Ian Flemming.ScarlettPheonix wrote:Sean Connery as James Bond...and think I'll stop now hehe

Aladdin and the King of Thieves (3) was awesome, they got Robbin Williams back for the GenieFiye wrote:And, its not like what Disney did. They're making a third movie out of Cinderella. Its bad enough they did it to Aladin.
ScarlettPheonix wrote:Ics Age 2 just plain sucked- the sharp humor from the first one was gone, and the "love" story was at best half-hearted. Scratch could only do so much >,>
Not a fan of Jackie Chan then? D: Rush Hour 1 & 2 are awesome (btw they're making a 3rdAnd don't get me started on Rush Hour

Antonio Bandera as El Mariachi (can't think of the series title)
Kevin Smith's Jay and Silent Bob "series"- Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, J-SB Strike Back and Clerks II
Mad Max series
Lethal Weapon series
Beverly Hills Cop series
Sean Connery as James Bond...and think I'll stop now hehe
No, its just that Hollywood has such a long standing tradition of sucky sequels. Kind of a tradition that is hard to break out of.ScarlettPheonix wrote:Didn't know we were making a distinction between "Hollywood" sequels and none "Hollywood" sequels, Tysbil. What's your definition? It doesn't suck so it can't be a Hollywood sequel?![]()
My parents and most of my friends are into the books and movies and since I love going to the movies I tend to go along with them to see them.Sugami wrote:Keavy, Harry Potter sucksGenerally the fans of the books don't like the movies much. Myself, I hate them both
Actually, I don't. I was drunk when I typed that. In fact, I'm drinking beer from a foam dome right now.Sugami wrote:if you insist
