Strategies for tonight's Garrison in Sarubaruta

Hey kats! Mielu here.

tonight as you know we're doing a Garrison alliance near Windy at 10 EST, 7 PST, and I wanted to hear from some of the {Mithra}s on what strategies they're using.

I am going to be SMN main and will be using Shiva primarily. I think I will try to use her two hour at least twice. :twisted: When those Yag's are spawned I'll summon her and engage one of the unoccupied Yag. If we keep all the monsters together then our BLM's can unleash some -ga spells and Shiva's two hour is a AoE effect as well. She will probably catch hate with that from all of them and die.... then they'll come after me :o I'll resummon her after using juice and ethers and then do the two hour again :twisted:

If anyone else is doing this please post any comments or strategies you might have.

i'm planning on going as DRK and.. well just going with the flow :D

i haven't done garrison before, so i don't really know what to expect. i'm thinking it's a bit like an EF? anyway, i'll be there for you all to use as you will. :lol:

The main goal of Garrison is to keep the NPCs alive. WHMs are a must to keep the NPCs and party healed. Also lots of 'vokers are needed as well to keep the hate off the NPCs. Remember, if the NPCs die you lose the mission, so keep them all alive if possible.

Please, please post any post Garrison tactical info. I tried to do the same one on Garuda, only to be plauged by a LS not showing up. (Not Garuda's Mithra LS.)

I have heard that the NPCs can't be healed & they have hella HPs anyway, that the hard part is the Boss at the end, and any number of far less believable things.

I have seen 2 Garrisons there. They look very confusing.
Red Mage 99, White Mage 50, Black Mage 75, SCH 99, Summoner 14, THF 25, BLU 25, NIN 50, WAR 18, DRK 50, DNC 49, PLD 50. Goldsmith 72 +2, Cooking 60 +2, Alchemy 41, Fishing 33, Rank 8, Windurst, Lakshmi (Garuda, I weep for you)

The NPCs can be healed (unless that has changed since I was away). The NPCs do have a good amount of HP but they can fall fast... I have seen all of them die during the 3rd wave. You really have to go with a gameplan ready. Oh and juice is a must as well. You will most likely go through your entire MP reserve at least twice.
