Even though my main job is white mage, my first love was and still is red mage. I love versatile jobs that can be played more than one way as needed.

RDM

Post by ScarlettPheonix »

<purr> lol I'm so happy to see that RDM is so popular! It's by far my favorite job~ I love being able to cast and melee at the same time if I choose. I've played as whm and blm, and always just end up lvling them. I've tried the dd classes and I spend most my time fussin' and complaining b/c I can't cast, much to my husbands amusement :P. I'm a total summon freak (always have been) and play as RDM/SMN (lvl 50/25 now). With my summons, refresh and convert (plus stoneskin/phalanx) I kick some serious ass, whether solo'ing or in parties. My only complaint is other players who think Refresh = infinite MP. Having to actually rest to regen MP is a foreign idea to them for some reason after rdm hits lvl 40/41. There's so much flexibility and freedom in playing RDM, SE did something very right when they included this job in FFXI :) Whether I'm partying in strange places or soloing Cryanuce just to try it I know I'll just have fun :D

I have to admit, rdm seems like it could be fun. it's the job that was intended to do pretty much anything.

but i don't know.

Monk would have to be my favorite. I like being able to smack mobsters upside the head!

Well, can't exactly set it up as a poll then seeing as that one can only have six options.
New sig comin'. But in the meantime...

I was going to do ALL of the jobs, but the maximum number of options for a poll is 6...they should change that. Also, They should recruit more Mithra for the Hades Mithrapride...its a little....uhm...unpopulated... However, bad people like Kiunaki polluting it kinda gave it a bad reputation

Red Mage, hands down.

I like Red Mages because they can do almost anything. I am in another LS, (I'm in a lot of LS's, but I still find time for MithraPride =^-^=) a RDM-only LS called CrimsonTide. As I once said to that LS, "You can't have a whole party of WHMs, or a whole party of WARs. It just wouldn't work. You can, however, have a whole party of RDMs. A RDM/WAR can tank, a RDM/WHM can heal, etc." And RDMs get the coolest spells! Raise, Refresh, Phalanx, etc...there are too many to list ^^ There is really no particular role I like to play.. I prefer to do a little bit of everything. ^^ I do kinda like being healer, though...
The one downside to RDM, as far as I can see, is the MP shortage, and with SMN as sub, this is not a problem for me. =^.^=

Stuff I have in real life that proves I'm obsessed: A Windurstian flag, SMN Artifact armor, RDM artifact armor, and a plush Carbuncle.
Currently working on: WHM AF. My brother and I compromised. >.>

WAR, flat out. Why? Lack of limitation on weapons, not to mention actually being able to outdamage most of the other classes. Plus it makes a damned good base sub for PLD. :D My only complain about WAR actually is the lack of capability to heal midfight. Other than that, tis me fave (for the moment). ^^
OMFG! 8 75+!!!! :shock: Who knew slackers could work so hard? D:
And now a Miqo'te as well. >=D
