This is the answer to the cry of "UMD DRIVE!" It is backwards compatible. But Sony rigged it to force the Vida. No Wifi or Stereo Sound. Thanks Sony.

I have that edition too, but I'm trying to figure out how to make it fit my 1000 model with a bit of cleverness.

Oh, its that cheap $99 version without the Wifi.
I'll enjoy my cracked PSP 2000 for now.
