You, the community, have clearly expressed your dissatisfaction with our billing system transition—and we are listening. We now understand that the options we presented you did not meet the level of service you have come to expect from Square Enix, so we have been working hard to address these concerns.

Accordingly, we will be extending the transfer cut-off date until we are able to implement the following improvements:
- New credit card payment options for Crysta [Available Now]
- The ability to specify exactly how much Crysta you want to buy [Early Fall]
- New recurring payment credit card options [Mid Fall]

We hope these steps show our ongoing commitment to you, our fans. It is our goal to make the FINAL FANTASY XI experience as fun and rewarding as possible.

Also in the days to come we'll reveal details for new offers and incentives to help ease your transition to the new system.

While excited about their response to the community, I cannot find the "New credit card payment options for Crysta [Available Now]" anywhere in my SE account management. Yet.

Getting a little ahead of themselves no? Game is hardly worth $15 a month yet..I would launch a new payment gateway "AFTER" the game doesn't suck.

You haven't been playing XI lately have you Tivia?

Because XI was put on the same lousy payment plans as XIV, the only difference being we don't have to use them in XIV, but in XI....

Does the term shitstorm ring a bell? Because that is what developed when they proposed the new payment options.

Option A, buy Crysta, a company script which isn't legal in many countries. And outside of Japan available only in whole $ blocks. Just slightly more than you will use paying for XI which is always $something.95.

Option B, Click and Buy. Has a shady enough rep that many banks freeze your CC when any charge from them shows. Every frrricking month. No mater what you might say beforehand.

There was no option C. Until now. Or so they claim. I haven't found it yet. I have until the end of the month to find it. Or no FFXI.

Edit: And people who imported the game in its earliest days, or were Japanese residents when they bought it but moved, were totally locked out by the payment / address / CC options.

But current residents of Japan, playing on the Japanese client, had no problems and could use a CC to buy exact Crysta amounts.

Me, I just want an invisibly billed to my CC thing, nothing I have to do save pay the CC. No Crysta to buy every frrricking month, nothing I need to pay attention to, just bill me for Alanta's sake.

My bad...Yea I was getting quite annoyed with the new payment gateway in XI. While the old one was bad, it was great compared to the XIV crysta garbage. My sub is coming up for renewal here soon, hope it is a better experience.
