I honestly didn't think it possible for SE to screw up a simple search feature.

Hmmm... just reading it doesn't seem too bad, I'll have to play with it tonight to see how it works in game.

Isn't bad to use, I guess for whatever reason they didn't want to give us a text box to type stuff in as small spelling errors and case sensitivity might make things more annoying.

Does it tell you who has it for sale at the cheapest price?

Nope, just says how many of them are for sale and puts a star by the retainers' names if they're selling it.

It WILL mark every retainer who sells the item even if they are in an "incorrect" ward.

Really? You have to pick a ward to do a search first and seems like the options to search for are related to that ward, I guess if they're in other wards and you wander into them they'll show up there too. They're also marked on the map as a red dot and no worry about trying to find them since the name will spawn even if the character model doesn't
