with my overclock of a 20 percent increase, I'm running not only waaaay better then the 470 card, but on pace with the 480.

Kaorii what is your current speeds on your 470? I haven't overclocked mine too much.

3DMark did give me some improvement but not significant.
Nvidia GTX 470, unaltered.

nVidia 460 GTX 786MB Superclocked Edition. I removed one of my video cards so I could do a control test. So the main video card at normal speed and the card I'm listing is my overclocked:
Core Clock: 858
Shader Clock: 1716
Memory Clock 2140
Going to push my luck in a few hours after I finish creating my miqo'te
