I do hope you like rum Karu.
As for me, after many years of
not doing Xmas, I now just try to ignore it. This year I was fairly successful.

Why not do it? unless of course you are jewish of course.
That said, all I got this year was some ed hardy shirt from my sister that looks terrible. She seems bent on getting me into the whole "rocker/tatoo" style, despite the fact that i have never worn anything even close. I wasn't looking for anything anyhow so not a huge deal to me, this year was all about my 3 year old daughter who had a blast.

Life: Kickass Job in the Navy
Friend quit FFXI gave me two accounts. One is a kickass RDM, the other not so much. Yay for free PLing!
Um... beyond that nothing more. Spent $104.95 on Steam for my Dad to get started up on gaming again. Valve Complete Collection (Every game from Half-Life to L4D2) $74.95 [Wish they fucking had Episode 3 out already]. Star Wars Collection $24.95 (Lot of Dark Forces games. Reason why i got it for him], and then Torchlight. Which I've enjoyed a lot, and hope he will too.
My Christmas in a nut shell. Going to have to enjoy doing this 9 times out of 10 for the next 5 or 19 or 29 Thankgivings/Chrstmases of my life.
Thankfully, it couldn't have come at a better time.

Well I am Jewish, but there is a difference in just not doing Xmas and
NOT doing Xmas.
Mostly a reaction to being schooled in the mid 20th century when Christianity was rife in our school systems and it was deemed fitting and proper. The rest was mostly a rebellion against the compulsory nature of the day.
Every year in the Xmas pageant (yes, in public school) I was told "oh you are Jewish, you can play a shepherd."
Wait a fricking minuet here. Joseph was Jewish, Mary (played EVERY year by an Italian Catholic* girl) was Jewish, the 40 watt light bulb playing Jesus should be Jewish, indeed only the Three Kings from the East and the animals in the manger are not Jewish, everyone else either is or could be.
I have pleasant Xmas memories too though. For instance every year my grandmother (who kept a kosher house) would take me to see Santa. Played by the manager of the central branch of the Chase Manhattan bank. He was a Chase VP IIRC.
*The area was settled before our revolution. The biggest ethnic minorities were Italian Catholic and Ashkenazic Jew.

Just remind the idiots that christmas isn't really a christian holiday and they need to learn their history a bit better. That said, being jewish that makes it sort of a given as you are celebrating a holiday. At this point i pretty much lump all of them together for me. I celebrate the part that is fun for the kids and ignore the rest of it. But yes, similar situation for me, neither of us are christian and actually are pretty much dead set against religion in general. However we still celebrate christmas, and call it as such, take the kid to see santa and all the fun that goes along with that. We just laugh at the "jesus is the reason for the season" people and treat it as a fun holiday like halloween. I don't particularly like the whole calling it X-mas thing, even though I realize that it what it was called in the original greek. I guess just years of habit and being set in my ways, has me ok with calling it by the traditional american name.

But mah switcher!!!
Seriously, I have a sexy santa outfit. It's black with gray trim. Every year I'm the anti-santa. I don't care about xmas persay. It's just a holiday with my friends and family. the most we do is the large scale train around the tree.

Actually sometime during the Regan administration the Supremes declared that Xmas was NOT a religious holiday.
Of course it is a religious holiday, but the religion is the worship of money, it has almost nothing to do with Christ anymore. Money is nonsectarian at least.
Another aspect of my Xmas iconoclasm is; just look at what the Christians have done to the birthday celebration of their own God, all the while telling us that we are cheap and money grubbing.
/cynicism off
In other, lighter news, as a historian and a fan of theology, I have noticed that American Protestantism is in a time of upheaval godwise, where God the father has been almost totally supplanted by Jesus, and the Trinity has descended to Jesus, Santa Claus, and the Easter Bunny.
Yes, its only another holiday, and one I choose to hide from if I can.

Black Peter as a girl, I like it.

Umm, doesn't "Christmas" come from "Christ"

Celebration of Christ's birthday, I'd say that's a Christian holiday if I've heard one

Yeah I know they slapped it on the same day as some Pagan holiday but that was just to fool the pagans
And to all you heathens celebrating xmas ~>

Yes, but that is the only tie in and that sadly for them doesn't automatically make it a christian holiday. It was actually far more then the pagans they were targeting, but I digress I don't desire to turn this into a religious debate.
Santa goth...normally I would say pic or it didn't happen, but I guess we will just have to take your word for it on this one.
That said, the switcher is nice. I want to see pics of it when it is complete. Seeing you post this stuff is tempting me awful hard to get back into the hobby. I just don't know if I am ready for that sort of time/money investment just yet.

I wore it for Xmas day despite the fact that I have the flu so I didn't want any pictures of me sick.
