Mithra Pride and XIV?

Is there an interest in forming MithraPride LSs in 14?
Perhaps even in the beta?
For any newer kitties:
Mithra Pride started in FFXI's NA beta* and spread to several servers on the NA release. Due to this site, more soon followed**.
MP was always a social LS, and as people started drifting into endgame, more and more members dropped out leaving every chapter either dead, dying, or vastly reduced in numbers.
But here we have a chance to do it all again.
Shall we?
*I don't believe any Beta members are still active on this site, I believe a few still are somewhere in game.
**Never, unfortunately, on Garuda, my server. Nor was I ever active enough to lead a LS.

Well I was in FFXI before and during NA beta, but I can't recall if I actually joined MP then or later.

Friend of mine actually got in and decided it wasn't for him after 1 day and gave me his account. Funny little tid bit, I still have the Beta client installed on my machine.

I'm 100 percent in for ToR Beta when it launches. I ended up meeting a player in SWG who turned out to be a sound programmer for LucasArts and is doing sound design for The Old Republic.

ToR is going to become the successor to WoW. There is quite literally no doubt in my mind about it.
a.k.a. My interest in TOR is less than Mass Effect 2.
P.S. Shirai, you should convince them! They could have tails! And be roxxin teh boxxors!

ToR has it's merits don't doubt, but still that is generally a different target audience. After playing a good bit of Aion through it's beta, I think it feels more like a successor to WoW then anything. It plays almost darn near the same, just with an ever so slightly more difficult learning curve, far better graphics (with about the same art style) and very similar gameplay.

I hate to say this.
There is currently no successor to WoW. There is none on the horizon.
If there is to be one, Blizzard will make it.
WoW goes beyond being a game, it is a phenomenon.
All these games are as much defined by the social element as by any element of the game itself. Or every element of the game itself.

I'll be glad to be a part of the pride in XIV right from the beginning.

WoW isn't even an MMO.... it's a breeding ground for immature 13 year olds --;

I prefer to think of it as a breeding ground for immature behavior.
Remember, you are never too old to act immature.
13 year olds acting like that are not immature, they are acting their age. When they behave like 8 year olds, that's immature.

I just prefer to think of WoW as everything that is wrong with Gaming and Society today.

I dunno, aren't 13 year olds immature by nature because they
aren't mature (yet)? Immature being the absense of maturity, show me a mature 13yr old and I'll show you a miracle

you mean when mom cancels their WoW accounts?
(I'm pretty sure this is fake, but it is not far from reality for too many kids out there.)

That video was staged. And when you live in a military family, what the public sees is a miricle
