I just applied to Canadian Pacific Railway's Locomotive Mechanics Institute. I submitted my application, listed all my mechanics courses, etc. If I can get in, not only will I get trained to work on these Diesel Behemoths, but make dozens more doing it. And with the Brotherhood of Railroad and Airline Workers union, My job is pretty much safe. But that's jumping the gun. Friday I expect to have an answer.

I made the final 20 as far as applicants went. Today they had us do some apptitude testing. Testing general skills about mechanics, engineering, mathmatical, computer skills, etc. Friday the final 10 will be chosen.

Friday came. My cell rang during lunch. I answered it and it was the woman in charge of the testing for CP Railways. I missed the final 10 applicants. My math skills weren't up to par and despite having excellant work with mechanics..... well I just basically suck at math when I'm not applying it to actual engineering etc.
Oh well.
