So, how was your Black/Blitz Friday?

Mine?

12:05 A.M. Leave house to Fry's Electronics
12:30 A.M. Arrive at Fry's
12:31 A.M. - 3:45 A.M. Play Chrono Trigger, check the phone, and smell weed (Some asians were smoking the crap out of it.)
3:45 A.M. Start running from the neat lines to a fucking herd of cattle.
4:00 A.M. Get squeezed further
4:20 A.M. Even further.
4:40 A.M. Just a little more!
4:58 A.M. Doors open.

Here's where the nightmare began. Literally being SHOVED up to the door. A Cop trying to stop the massive herd as we hit the patio of the place. Stopping momentarily as the already packed herd squeezes in just a bit more to push in.

Then I trick over a pile of fucking cones.

Seriously, fucking cones.

And then I fall over a pile of bodies. I'm not sure if they were still alive, but when I saw that door, I just bolted in.

In the end I snagged an ATI HD4670 and 4 Gigs of Ram.

I'm never going through that again. EVER.

Wake up at 6AM. Drive to local hobby shop, bought xmas presents for my hubby, then stowed them in the RV, went back to sleep. right now I just got off my 6 hour driving shift, and letting our new found and newly hazed Toby take his turn.

Woke up about 8:30, made coffee, read mail, news, and forums while chocobo racing in the background. Avoided the crowds, never left the house.

I used to live about 1 1/2 miles from there.

Cops outside a walmart where we were ended up cracking 2 peoples heads open with their batons and shooting one shopper who became beligerant when he tried to push forward in line. Out in NC, I met a cop at the campgrounds who was celebrating thanksgiving with his father-in-law (he was our neighbors). When I read the story I called my new cop friend and found out that according to him, when a riot broke out, they went for non lethal and pulled the nightsticks out. As for the shooting, the person had a knife on their body trying to get forward in line. Cops told the suspect to drop the knife 3 times before unloading 3 9mm rounds into his chest. Suspect survived and is facing charges of Aggrovated Assault.

As for my daddy, he was unable to get transport out of Quantico and missed our celebration, but the Marines at Camp Lejune threw a party for him anyways ^^

Seriously, black friday's get worse and worse every year. I was in the salon friday- we did fairly steady business, busy but not crazy busy. Made 50% more in tips than I normally do on Friday so that was a plus

One of my coworkers however got up at 4 AM and headed to the local Wal-Mart- she said the lines were out both doors and wrapped around the parking lot. So she headed to the Wal-Mart closest to the malls (about 30 mins away) and while she got into the store there weren't any carts. She then hit up the malls and said it was insane there too- and she does this every year!

The sad part in all of this?

The Deals this year were mostly crap, especially at Walmart.

Good thing I did my holiday shopping online @ ebay. I had sprint's laptop net card so the entire trip I was holiday shopping on sprint's lines.
