Alone In The Dark (Which Is What Atari Left Me In)

I watched teh demos, and I was so impressed. So as I was at the store last night, I found it, rented it, and brought it home. Now not to sound like Yahtzee, but *ahem* Atari waved cake under our nose, then replaced it with a big steaming pile of bull chips.
I'm half way through the game, but the 360 controls are very sluggish at best, sort of a lag really, that shouldn't be there. Also, being a game that has, in my opinion, ripped off Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Parasite Eve (Bonus points if you remember that one), using a 3rd Person camera drove me nuts. Everytime I put first person mode on, when I picked up an object, the game cracked me over the head and pretty much dropped me back to third person view. Not a good idea since, you got undead spawned, thingies chewing your leg off while you're left trying to adjust the camera to take them all down.
The puzzle solving is good, but this game just proves one thing: No Wonder People Keep Buying And Selling Atari.
EDIT: On a Minor note, anyone know why I'm having problems getting my xbl bar in my signature to update my achievements?
