I got it about a day ago.. but I was so tired right after that. I disbanded the crappy party I made to get the last 3.5k EXP, and talked to my new Senpai, and crashed for the night.
Woot! Now what the f*ck is there to do? (lol)

Build a buffer because even with reraise III exp won't last forever.
Afterwards you can start the merit grind to max out your whm capabilities.
(I'll leave the choice of merits to you.)
Otherwise start leveling a new job that seems appealing to you.

I've found out what I want to do.
Hit BRD 75, BLM 75, and perhaps SMN75. Maybe add on RDM and then do BLU when I'm really bored.
At least.. the other grinds won't seem so bad now that I've done the worst. And as far as merits go. I think I'll merit out BRD rather than WHM. WHM is good enough without Protectra/Shellra 5. Though, the Regen benefits seem interesting. (Especially when you add it with a low level RDM. *Giggles*)

Actually, Regen merits will only work when you're WHM 75. The job specific merits will only work for that job- so you're lower levelled RDM's Regen will still be 5hp/tic.
Only the more general stat merits work across all the jobs (HP, MP, Combat skills, Magic skills, etc) at all levels.

Don't they kick in every ten levels up to 50 then every five levels after that?

Merits do work in level capped areas.
However they only work when the job you merited it on is your main job.

Makes sense for the Group 1 and 2 merits to work with that as your main job.
And they do work in level capped areas. Thing is, only part of them will work, and any level75 merit spells/abilities (WHM group2 for instance) won't work. But all 5 Regen merits will show up.

Nope, sure don't.
Say I'm in Riverne B (50 cap)-. I go to convert. I Convert and heal- go to check my timer, its 9mins+. Which would be normal if I still had it at 10 mins, which I don't.
Its been meritted down to 8mins 40 secs for nearly a year now and if job specific merits worked in level capped areas- I should be able to convert every 8min40sec or so- not ten.
So unless someone can link to where SE said otherwise (like only
job ability merits don't work in level caps)- I'll go with the job specific merits don't work below 75 belief.

What Shirai said is correct, but you get limited on your merits when capped. eg: Capped at 10 allows you 1 merit, 20 allows 2 merits and so on.

Seems there's some confusion and I'm not positive if its with me trying to explain myself or just confusion over how merits work in general- and I'm not trying to say I'm an expert on the subject.
I'm not arguing that most merits (Magic/Combat skill, HP/MP, Stats, other) are available on other jobs or in level capped areas, but from both personal experience as well as all the readng on the subject I did when I first hit 75-
job specific merits do not work except on that job @ 75 and that includes abilities, traits and spells.
From the link Stockyboy posted under Job-Specific Merit Point Categories: Upgrades in the following merit point categories are in effect only when the specified job is the player's main job and when it is level 75.
Edit- Found the actual Update Note from SE on the subject.
And from SE (Update Notes Feb 2005): The abilities available for Merit Point usage have been expanded. These abilities have been divided by job type, as listed below. There are two conditions for using Merit Points on these abilities: the job to which the ability pertains must be set as the main job, and the main job level must be 75.

Ah... damn. So, in short, Group 1 and Group 2 merits will not work unless you're a.) That job, and b.) At level75.
So much for dreaming.

Group 2 yes you need to be 75.
The Martyr, Devotion, and spells will not work in level capped areas.
However.
Group 1 depending on what you merit they do work in level capped areas.
(I have tested this myself with regen)
However if that specific job is indeed not 75 then they won't work.
A delevel means that it deactivates the merits put into the job at that moment but that's normal.
And no,
Job specific Merits do no kick in if you use the merited job as subjob.
Other things like attributes, HP/MP do!

Yeah, what Shirai said lol. You can use all except group two merits as long as you're on your main job, depending on the cap you'll be restricted on how many merits are in effect though.

I honestly think you both are mistaken, but I won't argue with you about it anymore.
