Bridge to Terabithia

Today I had a really really bad day and decided to go to the movies. Because, for some reason, going to the movies makes me feel better. Well, today I went to see "Bridge to Terabithia" and to be honest, its not what I expected. I thought it was going to be another one of those "Kids stumble upon a magical land in danger and save the day" movies. Its not. In fact, its one of the best movies I have seen in a long time and as soon as it ended, I wanted to see it again. It was that good.
Let me explain and I'll do my best to avoid spoilers for those that haven't seen it but want to.
The movie focuses on Jesse, the middle son of a poor farmer with four sisters who seem to get all their parent's attention. Jesse loves to run and is a very talented artist. The movie starts on the first day of school when he meets a girl named Leslie. She's a free spirit who has a wild imagination. They soon discover that they (Jesse and Leslie) are neighbors and quickly become friends.
Both are targeted by bullies and decide that to escape from the cruelty of reality they're going to create their own world called "Terabithia."
Now we're getting to the part where if I go any further, I'll be handing out spoilers. If you really wanna know more, PM me or see it for yourself. Honestly, you won't be disappointed. This film is fantastic and I highly recommend it to all.
Oh, and for those with kids the film is kid friendly but it does deal with some mature subject matter (parental abuse, bullying, death) so just be prepared for that.
