Can anyone tell me what steps they took to raise a colored chocobo? Raised three now all Yellow. Don't know what im doing wrong.
I raise its mind stats as much as I can while its a chick, and I tell it stories and still nothing changes. As for food, I just feed it regular Greens. (Somebody told me that didn't change anything)

				Genetics and luck.
Feed Zegam Carrots for mental status, Vomp Carrots for physical status, cross your fingers and pick colored parents for color.

I read somewhere (numerous times) on the somepage.com forums that if you give your egg to the NPC while your city is in first place you have better odds of getting a colored bird. I am actually testing this at the moment withone of my mules and let you all know if it makes any difference, although I doubt it. I have never really gleaned a lot of useful info from there, but I figured that it's worth a shot...

MithraPride member Moneyshot got a blue chocobo and her egg came from the quest. Was also her first egg. I'll /poke her ingame and ask her to post here about what she fed it and such

Find the people on your server who have colored chocos and ask 'em how they did it. I can't decide which color I want, so yellow is prolly all I'll ever have.

I got a red one by feeding it only gyshal greens.

Are you positive that is what got you the color?

Probably not, just down to luck in the end I bet otherwise there'd be no point in selective breeding.
