I haven't posted much, but I've lurked around.

Sad to say, this will be my last visit to the world of Final Fantasy Online. In the end, it was just becoming too much like a job to play a game for such little enjoyment.

Having to work so much in real life, has left me with little time to play this game as a second job. Reality of my mother's death has set in, and I've learned to grow through it.

But for anyone who knew me, this is good bye. To those who didn't, I'm sorry I never met you.

Take care in your adventures, kick Maat in the shins once for me.

G'luck out there -- RL always beats game, but if you ever get the notion to try an MMORPG again, check out http://www.vanguardsoh.com/index.php It seemed to have much less drudgery than FFXI. Fewer squeaky taru-toys to play with, too, but it does have a cat-race.

One thing I noticed about that game was that it seemed to have a lot of 35+ folk playing it (at least in the beta). I like kids, but the lack of 1337-talk that comes with an older crowd is really nice. The character customization for that game is pretty extreme, too. You can actually recognize people by their face, not just their armor or name overhead.
