My fat PS2 I use for FFXI died today, which was bad.
My Xbox 360 HDD arrived, which is good.
I can't log in to PlayOnline because of some issue with my ID and/or password and the soonest this will get resolved is Tuesday thanks to the holiday.
ITS JUST NOT FAIR! I WANNA PLAY FFXI AND I CAN'T!!!

OK, this is weird: As you can see, in my Gamertag it has POL viewer and FFXI listed as games I have played. Well, my friends all thought that was weird, too so I shut down my 360, started it up again, and everything works now.
If you do need to restart after installing someone needs to say something.
Now I have the "Fun" of downloading and installing all the updates from March to now. Yay! Meh, I can't whine too much. At least from now on my eyes won't bleed from the godawful graphics of the PS2 version.

Hey now! The PS2 graphics aren't all that bad- at least not since getting my flat screen and they're certainly better then some games I've played.

I know how you feel Keavy, when I get back and install FFXI on my new laptop I will have to get every patch from Nov 05 >.> which was the last time I played x.x

Don't worry. Patching's not all to bad.
I had to sit through a 2 hour Xbox update as well as a 3 hour PC update. (I have a 360 and PC [Bittorrented]_ versons now.

I went from PLD 17 to 19 last night in the dunes. Had a chat going with LS friends (I was the only non-360 member in the LS) and we had to remember to type to keep the non-LS peeps in on what was going on.

My 360 just got the Fall update that bricked a bunch of 360's and it still works so I should be fine there.
Seriously, the game no longer has that "Fuzz" on everything.

I've been unable to play since August. Someone somewhere has it worse then you. :p

My 360 never had the fuzz problem. Although, I did play on 720p wide screen on my dad's 50" plasma.
My only complaint is the lack of icons that have a effect. I mean, you know when you're like rank 5+ and you get signet. And the signets will last you anywhere from 2 hours to 14 (Rank 1 and First place - Rank 10 and Last Place). And if you have that running, plus your plasma screen in an exp party, lets just say that the chances of you burning in that image are likely. It's probably the same fate of a Wii mote hitting the screen.
I wish they'd do something to counter attack it. I wouldn't mind if the icons slowly switched place every so often. And the rest of fine. As long as we can get the menus to have like 50% consistency.

My PS2 had the fuzz problem.
Now I have encountered another problem this time with a different game: Oblivion. I got a used copy on sale at EB Games (Last copy at that store) and about two hours into it I get a "Can not read disc" message. So I pop out the disc and there's this huge circular scratch on the disc!
Now I get the fun of trying to locate a replacement used copy within the next week or get a refund and pay $20-30 more for the same damn game!

Well, on the positive side I did get the "Snakes on a Plane" DVD for $15

Oh dear, don't tell me you actually paid for that thing?

Snakes on the plane needs to be a ten minute move. Drop the air pressure, grab oxygen masks, and freeze 'em to death.

That's about average in the mid-50s and up actually. Then in the 70s it's been a good night if you get 1/2 to next level
