Give me ideas

I've been putting together a website to show case my abilities in web development and programming.. now I need some ideas of things to do so if anyone has idear's they can toss out to give me a couple challenges post em :)

Can you be more specific? like.. what abilities are you showcastin? just coding skills? or artisit skills? ... your statement is too broad

It's hard to show your ability to web program unless you want to share your code publicly. Anyone can have a nice website made by their friends. I always thought I would use my home page to show bits of perl here and there when I needed a job, but that hasn't ever really happened... ^^
