It's an interesting video even thought I don't agree with the practice of it.

I'm on a library computer that can't quite run video's, so I'm unable to watch that. However, let me just say what I've already said before on the issue.

Yes, not all Gil/Gold farmers are evil. Some are jus doing this because they need to make money to feed themselves, and possibly their family. But, like drug dealers, just because they have a sob story to support why they do something I'm firmly against doesn't mean I'm going to be kinder to them.

They don't look like they are in dire straights in the video heh. In fact one of their fathers commented that he wished they would find a more stable job then this.

What the video does show is that they don't work in sweat shops. The farmers have a technical knowledge of computers and how they work it seems. Most seem young and of college age. I guess it would be akin to working at McDondals in the US. A low paying job that grants them cash to buy video games. ;3 They express an interest in gaming and having fun doing it with friends. It doesn't look like they are doing it to get the bare necessities needed to survive... more of a fun job then anything to earn some extra cash.

An urban apartment can't be a sweatshop? McDonalds has overcrowded dormitory bedrooms with 7 - 10 people sleeping in shifts while they are not pulling 12 - 18 hour stints?

Sweatshop is about working conditions, not where people work or the job they do. Many sweatshops in China are modern factories with dorm buildings right next door, perhaps even not overcrowded.

People have been worked to death SEWING in those modern, well equipped, factories. That is not a joke. I don't think anyone has died Gilfarming yet, but we do not get a lot of news out of China.

I wonder if /pizza works in China.... :?:
