Subject: Playstation

I know we'll be doing this story and people will be camping out as early as wednesday night!

Topic: Story Ideas

Comments:

Myself and two other friends will be camping out in front of the Circuit City in PA for about two days for the upcoming Playstation 3. But were going all out, and some exposure wouldnt hurt. We will be having a 12'x12' tent set up, two tv's in the tent, we will be grilling throughout the nights, on our laptops, playing xbox 360 (yes, while waiting for a ps3). there will be recliner in the tent. it will be like a little mini home. we are definitely going all out for this.

As far as the time of the event, we look to be setup with the tent and everything by 7pm on 11/15/06 and will be there till 8am friday morning when the circuit city opens up!

That's right, people have been camping out since last night. My station was at a local store interviewing the kids who skipped class/jobs to camp out. Some had a generator so they could play PS2 while waiting for 3 days.
I bet those people are thinking twice now, because there is some NASTY weather heading up the east coast. In my area, there is a tornado watch in effect until 6pm w/ possible hail!!

God to Tent City @ electronic stores:
WHat are you n00bs doing spending $600 in that!!??? Silly humans!
:P

wanna kill my b/f then, 1400 for the console, second sixaxis controller, memory card adapter, bd remote (I think) and 12 games/2 blu ray movies at wal-mart, as I type this he's sitting out front at the front of the line and I'm not freezing my arse off for him. period.

So I pick up my PS3 with all the goodies, list it on ebay and and it gets bought almost immeditaly as I have a best offer type of listing allowing people to make their offer and me to choose who is legit and who is not.

:o

Merry Christmas is all I have to say..Sold for an amount of money I could not have possibly imagined and I have already been paid through paypal. Put it this way I got paid so much for this unit that since the guy is only a 7 hour drive from me I am getting in my car this evening and driving it to him personally.

Must be bloody nice to have more money then you can possibly begin to use..

I heard that at the Best Buy across the street from me a guy pulled up there shortly after midnight and gave a kid $1,000 for his PS3.

Oh, and for those eBaying their PS3's: There's a group of pissed off Sony fanboys who are bidding $5-10K and more with no plans of actually paying up. And...There's currently over 200 pages of PS3's for sale with 35 PS3's a page.

eBay's loving Sony very very much right now.

Same thing happened with the Xbox, and will happen with the Wii. All I can say is the seller should have been smart and listed their auction in a format where idiots could not bid it up like that forcing them to micromanage the auction.

:| {Holy} Crap
People were asking me for my take @ work last night....
I hate waiting in line for 20min... Let alone TWO DAYS... To drop $600+++++. {No thanks}
I'm not that big of an addict that I need to have bigger/better/faster NOW. I didn't buy PS2 until its price dropped >.>

I hope its all worth while for any kittens who did wait in line for hours/days. :)

People are so stupid it's depressing.

If they die of Hypothermia or whatever they're doing the world a favour by removing themselves from the gene-pool (unless they already have kids).

So I joined my b/f at the front of wal-mart's line this morning, they led us to the electronics department in town so we wouldn't freeze, I wanna kill him for spending 1400 on that package, but I found out why he did it, cuz he knew i felt my lancer engine was more important then the console.

Still gonna kill him, but he got it so we'd at least have it to play with and decide if we wanted to sell on ebay. Glad he did. I love the sixaxis controller, we showed up late for work due to "PS3 obsession" O.o;

No, didn't just run into it, he got shoved into it by someone else being a f@$#ing retarded @$$hole and going "OMFG PS3 MUST HAVE!!11!!ONE!". Freaking morons. In such a rush to get an overpriced piece of crap that they lack even common sense and compassion. It's no wonder I prefer to stay at home out of the sight and range of the common public. ~.~

To quote a film "Michael Jackson is pop king of fucking sick country."

You'd never hear about that kind of sh*t over here, robbers would follow them home and break into their house at night

The chavs would do that, cept they'd have a knife, cause they don't have enough money for guns, then they'd walk away with their home boys.

Inciting a riot is a crime.

Even if it wasn't deliberate.

But somehow I think corporations will not face this charge. Pity.

While I did sell mine a friend of mine did not. So I spent the afternoon playing on his. Comparing to the Xbox360 and only on Resistance I can say this. The PS3 Is without doubt Worth every freaking penny, I was utterly blown away. This with the knowledge of what white knight story looks like and the potential for FFXIII, Leaves me in awe of the sheer power of the system. If it handles the home theatre functions as well as it games...my god.....

To quote the movie,
Three Kings
Good movie, however sorry but I live in the greatest country in the world because I live in a country that lets me invest my money how i deem fit and make a profit off of it.

From what I have heard the "George Forman PSGrill" doesn't just apply to the look of it. You can cook burgers with it while you play!

No joke, the top of the system is a giant heatsink. Give your PS3 a lot of air or you'll end up with the red LED and beep of death.

Here's what Penny-Arcade says about PS3 launch and Sony.

It was good news there for a little while, when PS1 games were five bucks a pop and you were changin' out that hard drive and still retaining your warranty - big, generous moves that asked hard questions of their primary competitor. Just days later, it's weird rumor after dark rumbling after grim report.

The cruelest speculation is that the launch figure is something like half of what was promised - 150,000 to 200,000 units, says one analyst. I am not an analyst, but when I scour the launch list for a reason to wait outside for days in a fucking line, no klaxons sound and no lights begin to blink or flash. Motorstorm and Lair - the games that really sold people the system at this year's Tokyo Game Show - are nowhere to be seen. There are, of course, those distant ultrabrands - the ones that start with Metal and Final - but buying a system at today's prices, under today's conditions is on that basis is... unwise. Unwise is the diplomatic word I have chosen.

The launch is full of... Well, Launch Titles. It sounds like Insomniac did what Insomniac does - deliver spit-polished hits. Past that, you've got Genji (rank), Untold Legends (just... no) and Gundam (daemonic). Everything else is something that

(a) already came out, and

(b) most likely runs better or has more features on existing equipment. Seriously, read the reviews.

This is beyond insulting. This is beyond ridiculous. It is farcical.

With the Playstation 2, we ascribed the spotty launch supply to monstrous intent. We were young men, though, and young men often feel the weight of unaccountable oppressors bearing down on them. Speaking today, it seems clear to me that Sony would not want to launch under these conditions if they had any choice in the matter. Not with this anemic supply, now reaped by speculators. Not with these titles. But they have done it, singing all the while, making a stupid pageant of the whole affair with their petty sniping. Well, you have not succeeded, not at anything laudable. You've kept young people in out in the elements for days through your ineptitude, this is true, but that is worth negapoints - a reverse scoring method exclusively for jackasses that starts at zero, and actually goes down from there.

Think they summed it up nicely.

Greatest country in the world being ruled by the greatest idiot in the world. Hardly seems great to me.
So America is great because you can exploit the stupid, guess that's what Bush did, twice. Anyways I'll lay off the political satire.

Please do, Sugami. Your dry British wit makes my hangover worse.

Well, I got my lazy ass up at 8 am to get my Wii. Last night, around 10 pm, Target handed out coupons to everyone in line. It guaranteed you a Wii and you could either stay until Midnight or come back from 8 am to 10 pm today and get one. Well, I show up to find that the people who decided to stay had pretty much cleaned them out. No WiiMotes, Nunchucks, Classic Controllers, Flash memory upgrades, and they were sold out of pretty much every game. I got my Wii, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz, and Trauma Center. They put me on a list of people to call when they get more games and accessories in (I want Twilight Princess and the classic controller) but I'm gonna see if anyone wants to go with me to hit some of the stores in the outlying areas to see if I can score Twilight Princess.

I broke down and used the Wii instead of selling it.

Even I have to admit it works stupidly good...I could not put it down all day, and the 2+ year wait for LOZ Twilight Princess was worth it..one word...Awesome.

I am sorry you dislike my country Sugami, but to be brutally honest I really do not give a damn about anyone's opinion about my country who is not from it. I am sure you could care less about anything I have to say about yours.

Oh and Yes Being able to exploit the stupid is pretty much at the top of my list of most enjoyable things to do. Call it what you want but I believe Stupidity is by choice, and they chose to be exploited because they were too lazy to not be stupid. I justify that by the simple stance of I have yet to meet anyone who was stupid and not lazy.

I bid on that auction but got outbid. I'm proud though, at least I bid on something that woulda gone to a worthy cause. I've supported Childs Play since the begining. I always donate what I have. Right now I've spent my play money and done my xmas shopping, I'm facing water turnoff, becuase I spent my water bill on the foundation. Stupid I know, but That and Toys For Tots (Run by Hell's Angels and The United States Marine Corps) are the 2 charity's I've always helped.

Red Cross doesn't count becuase monthly Camerilla Club and 501st Stormtroopers make me do it. And Ding Busted, Fire Fox has a spell checker line in the programming now :O

I don't dislike your country, I dislike the majority of the people who populate it :P But if you're going to make an outlandish claim don't expect it to go unchallenged.

Stupidity is not an option it's genetic, otherwise stupid people would opt to be clever.
