Soon players can expect more from care plans and experience a variety of new chocobo colors and appearances. Chocobo raisers have a lot to look forward to in the next version update!

Changes to Care Plans and Direct Care

Chocobo attributes will soon increase at a greater rate when using care plans. In addition, several additions and adjustments will be made to direct care, and a measure to wake the chocobo up while sleeping will also be introduced.

New Chocobo Colors

In addition to the existing yellow, black, and blue, two new chocobo colors will be added. Players will be able to enjoy a maximum of chocobo variety in the next version update!



Changes to Chocobo Appearance

Soon, chocobo appearance will slightly change according to attributes. This will not alter the chocobo's appearance completely, but rather will reflect certain strengths that the animal has acquired during the chocobo raising process. For example, a highly intelligent chocobo's head may appear different than that of a normal chocobo, and a speedy chocobo may be distinguished by its sturdy legs.

*Please note that a chocobo that you are already raising will not suddenly change color or appearance with this version update.

Not all white tiped yellows grow up to be plain yellow. At least one has been reported to have grown up blue.

Still thats jacked up.... I havent seen any different colored chocobo's and alot of people are p****d including me. I have to waste another fully month to POSSIBLY get a different colored bird? SE and go screw themselves...

My friends and I've always gone with {Konstacht Highlands} {Firaga}{Chocobo} and the rent-a-birds were always the KFC Express.

I find it amusing that people raise an animal with no idea of what color it will be, and are angry at SE when it's not magically what you want.That's like playing Black Jack and getting mad at the Casino for you losing.

hey I wanted a blue one, and I'm not being a nazi, My Little Sakura Angel is doing quite nicely thank you xD I'm prolly gonna go cook my second bird egg as an omelette

I wanted bluey-purple 'cause it'd match my chocobo's name, VioletSakura. Also can breed coloured ones to get more coloured ones but yellow and yellow will only spit out yellow (probably). Possible yellow ones have recessive un-yellow genes but of course SE won't tell us.

You know what color I wanted... Any other than yellow. I couldnt give a darn if it turned out pink. Something to show i spent a month of not being able to play because I didn't want to leave windurst to take care of it.

And Secondly, not sudden color change? How much more time is needed raising it before you can tell... honestly... I hate having to travel to windy every time i need to check on it, simply because im trying to get out there and lvl up. Staying at the stables all day doesnt benifit my char at all... Unless I waste time fishing *been having bad luck with that*

And why should I kiss it every night when it wont even trust me enough to show me the item its hiding for the whistle... im on day 31 so far and still no whistle... but it wont matter. If I have to keep raising it, and I cant retire it just to wait on a color change.... gah there I go ranting again. ><

Colour won't change at all. You're stuck with yellow. The model will slightly change with attributes (thicker legs, bigger head etc.).

I can get to windy and back in a second. HP set to Whitegate take an Imperial Silver Coin to the HQ Warp Taru and he'll send you to Windy if it isn't the first time using him after using the freebie. I have so much Imperial Standing I only use the HQ taru now

I travel around way too much for that one freebie to windurst. Still the point is, im not even gonna get my choco whistle. That was just a waste of a month.

You might as well find the whistle with this chocobo, so you dont waste precious breeding time with a chocobo you actualy want to spend time with.
