I take it its an Adobe file because when I used Preview all I got was a garbled mess.

I found an "Adobe for Mac" program on a Mac Freeware site I frequent so all is well

concidering its a ".pdf" file I'ld say its definately an adobe file

Yeah, but in the past I never had an issue with Preview reading .pdf files.

Could be a version problem. I know if you open a pdf compiled in Acrobat 7.0 with Acrobat 4.0 you get a "garbled mess" .... just a idea >.>
